At Azertexnolayn, safety is a core value that lies at the top of our priorities. It has seen over 700 employees and project contractors both in SCIP (Sumgayıt Chemical industrial park) and in downstream projects, Trained in safety principles and practices that firmly state 'everyone has a right and responsibility to speak up about safety and STOP any unsafe job.'

As part of the commitment to safety, a special senior management committee was established with direct oversight for the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality programme of the Azertexnolayn.

The programme of initiatives and change has driven and continues to drive a transformation in people's attitude and behavior towards safety in all aspects of their work.

This committee, chaired by the Chief Executive Officer Emruz Isgəndərov?/Vüsal Ruzmanov, has overseen the implementation of a number of specially designed safety initiatives which are below.Some of the initiatives include:

• Development of a Permit to Work system
• Introduction of third-party training which will help to comply with an international standard.
• Safe Equipment Isolation and Simultaneous Operations.
• Introduction of improved safety designs and culture.
• an updated process for Risk assessment, toolbox talks and accident investigation model
• Introduction of newer, more stringent requirements for personal protective clothing for employees and contractors
